With the continual loss of natural habitat due to development, the protection of the habitat that remains is paramount. These habitats are threatened by Chinese Privet and other non-native invasive plants that out-compete and displace native species. In fact, non-native invasive plants are the second leading cause for the decline of natural habitat and have a perilous impact upon songbirds and other wildlife.
